FESCO New Connection Procedure
To apply for a FESCO new connection, you have two options: either visit the nearest FESCO office to submit a form in person, or apply online. The decision is entirely up to you, depending on what suits you best. However, we recommend the online Electricity New Connection (ENC) service, as it’s significantly more convenient than making multiple visits to the office.
Here’s how to apply online:
- Go to https://enc.com.pk/ and select “Apply.”
- Upon clicking “Apply,” you’ll see four fields: Distribution Company, Sub-Division, Category Type, and Reference Number.
- Start by selecting “FESCO” as your Distribution Company, then pick your residential Sub-Division, choose the connection capacity in kilowatts under Category, and finally, enter your neighbor’s reference number.
- Select the connection type.
- Indicate whether you are the property owner or a tenant, then enter your name and your father’s name in the following section.
- Select your nationality—either “Pakistani” or “Foreigner”—then provide your CNIC number, current address, and contact number.
- In the Contact Person Information section, you can select “Same As Above” or enter details manually.
- If you already have a connection, you’ll be prompted to enter your current meter number. If not, simply skip this step as it’s only required for existing connections.
- Specify the load requirement for the new connection, then provide the address where you want the connection installed.
- Lastly, upload the necessary documents as listed below.
Documents You Need for New Connection
To request a new connection, please follow the steps outlined above. Once completed, attach clear images of the following essential documents:
- Copy of Property Document
- Attested CNIC of Applicant
- Attested CNIC of Witness
- Neighbor’s Electricity Bill
- Wiring Contractor’s Test Report
Ensure that each image is under 300 kB, as files larger than this will not be accepted.
New Connection Eligibility Criteria
WAPDA delivers electricity services to all consumer categories, including commercial, industrial, and residential users. However, certain eligibility conditions apply to specific consumer types. To qualify, applicants must be located within WAPDA’s service area and own the property for which a new electricity connection is requested.
If you fulfill these requirements, you may proceed with your application for a new connection by completing the application form and submitting the necessary documents.
Category-Wise steps and Estimated Time
FESCO has classified connection types into three distinct categories:
- Category One: Power range Up to 15 kW
- Category Two: Power range 16 to 70 kW at 400 volts
- Category Three: Power range 71 to 500 kW at 400 volts
Note: Consumers requiring a connection of 400 volts or higher must purchase their own transformer to establish a new connection. If you would like to learn more details about each category, please continue reading below.
Category One (Range Up to 15kW)
Customers seeking an electricity connection of up to 15 kW should apply under Category One. Approval for this category is granted by the SDO or Assistant Manager of Operations. The standard processing time suggested by FESCO for a new connection up to 15 kW is 30 days. If there is no update after this period, customers can contact the FESCO team or visit the nearest FESCO office to register a complaint.
Category Two (Range 16-70 kW, 400 volts)
For connections ranging from 16 to 70 kW or 400 volts, customers should apply under Category Two. The application process is similar to Category One but may take up to 73 days to complete. If no update is provided after 73 days, customers are encouraged to file a complaint with FESCO by contacting the team or visiting a local FESCO office.
Category Three (Range 71-500 kW, 400 volts)
Customers requiring a connection between 71 to 500 kW or 400 volts should apply under Category Three. This category follows a similar process as the previous two but may take between 70 and 80 days for completion. Approval for Category Three applications is handled by the Manager of Operations.
Note: Every category comes with specific requirements and procedures, so it’s important to follow the guidelines for the one you’re applying to. Keep in mind that the timeframes provided are only estimates and may change depending on local conditions, resource availability, and other factors.
